Spirituality & Mental Health Group

As Christians, we are called to care for and serve all of Christ’s children but oftentimes the most difficult challenge is learning to provide that same love to ourselves. Guilt and shame as well as other unhealthy and harmful thinking patterns get in the way of living as we are called to. Balancing a walk in faith and your mental health can be demanding, sometimes even feeling like an uphill battle but here at FAIR Counseling we want to support you.

Our weekly spirituality and mental health groups are run by licensed therapists with a focus on utilizing faith to begin a process of healing. By engaging with a community of like-minded Christians, you won’t have to make this walk alone. Through biblically-centered counseling as well as evidence-based treatment modalities like CBT, our goal is to help you explore your relationship with yourself and Christ.

Currently, spirituality and mental health groups are coed. If you wish to join, please email Tara, the group coordinator, at [email protected]. Groups will be co-lead by Tara, Heather, and Brittrany.

Tara was raised in the church and has seen first hand the benefit of prayer and scripture in improving mental health. She has over 8 years of experience working in a variety of therapeutic settings as well as leading Bible studies.

Heather earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and theology and has experience working with groups and individuals from a variety of spiritual backgrounds in a multitude of therapeutic settings over the past 9 years.

Brittany grew up in the faith and knows the value of spirituality in promoting wellness.  With over 7 years of clinical experience, she has worked with individuals and led inpatient group therapy.
