Kelsey Cannizzo, MA, LCPC, ATR, CADCArt Therapist and Mental Health Counselor ext.111

Kelsey is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and holds Master of Arts degree in Counseling and Art Therapy from Adler University. Kelsey is also Certified Alcohol and Drug counselor. Experienced in both mental health counseling and art therapy, Kelsey uses an integrative approach in providing counseling services while also offering art therapy to enhance the therapeutic process. She has previous experience facilitating an expressive arts open studio for young adults, adults, and their families at the National Alliance on Mental Illness of McHenry County. Kelsey also leads recovery-focused adolescent and young adult art therapy groups at FAIR.

As an art therapist, Kelsey is passionate about helping clients foster self-awareness and gain insight into their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors by using art to access different areas of the brain than those used for speaking. In her free time, Kelsey enjoys reading, traveling, and artmaking.
