Job Description

This job is a combination of the intensive outpatient services (IOP) with potential to see private practice clients who are not a part of IOP treatment.

Therapist provides mental health and substance abuse services to adolescents, young adults, and families to decrease crisis episodes and to increase healthy functioning in order for the client to achieve treatment goals resulting in a healthy and balanced lifestyle. Therapist will also provide continuity of program services in an ethical, legal, and moral manner within a safe and therapeutic environment, consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.

Therapist is self-motivated, seeks to improve performance and has strong problem solving skills while meeting the complex needs of the clients and their families. Therapist completes all necessary documentation within the appropriate time lines. Therapist completes mental health/substance abuse assessments (based on DSM-5 criteria), takes on primary case management responsibilities for designated clients. Counselor conducts individual, group, and family counseling and educational sessions for clients and/or family members. He or she maintains communications with all staff and referring providers and utilizes a variety of treatment concepts, evidence based practices and service modalities when providing care. In addition all staff members present workshops, lectures and training to clients, families, staff and community groups as needed.

Education

Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling or related field required, LPC, CADC (preferred not required). Individual and group supervision is provided on site.
